Formerly the world's biggest herring fishing port, Wick's fortunes have changed dramatically since the early part of the 20th century. The recent introduction of pontoons for leisure craft is a commonly-found development strategy in our old harbours. The boat in the foreground belongs to a Coastal Rowing club.
