This shelter was very unpopular when it was first built. Personally speaking, I don't think it blends in with its surroundings at all. This one-way street sees a lot of traffic and sometimes the buses get held up with inconsiderate motorists parking on both sides. There is a great variety of well used shops for such a small town. Market day is Monday and it is held on the car park adjacent to the bus shelter and also on the car park near the Methodist Church and Buttercross, a few yards down the road.
