The south-eastern end of Church Street as it joins the western edge of Market Place, with South Street in the distance. The Grade II*-listed Assembly Rooms building, Market Place are visible on the right. These date from 1822 and after years of municipal ownership they were sold by the Council to a local businessman in 2013 for conversion into business premises, a functions venue and a night club on a "several nights per week" basis.
