This was one of the vehicles on show at the classic car rally held recently at Ewen Fields in aid of SSAFA http://www.ssafa.org.uk a charity that provides practical support and assistance to servicemen and women, veterans and their families. The vehicle is a Jaguar E Type S3 2+2 5.3 litre V12 first registered in 1972. The present (5th) owner purchased it in 1994 and completed the London to Brighton run with it in 1997. It has an 18 gallon fuel tank which would have cost £6.48 to fill in 1972 but in 2014 costs £106.20.
