Much work has gone on at Bletchley Park recently to improve the facilities for visitors, including this new car parking area. The area has been laid with plastic porous paving grids in filled with gravel. The car parking bays are indicated by white clip on plastic discs. This method is environmentally friendly as it allows surface water to drain through and soak into the ground unlike concrete or tarmac which just diverts rain water into surface drains, and contributes to flooding.
