The line from Oxford to Bicester is being twin lined to take trains to London Marylebone. This section will be part of the East West Rail Project that will connect East Anglia with the South and West of England. The area on the left is where the Bicester Chord is being constructed to connect to the Birmingham Snow Hill to London Marylebone line.
