HMS Severn is one of three Royal Navy River class Offshore Patrol Vessels http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/our-organisation/the-fighting-arms/surface-fleet/patrol/river-class/hms-severn which patrol the UK Exclusive Economic Zone, routinely operating hundreds of miles off the UK coast. Seen here to the south of Dunoon, from Station Avenue, Inverkip.
