A 50 kW micro hydro-electric scheme is being installed on the Huisgill Burn above Talisker Farm. It will produce enough electricity to power around 40 houses, most of which will be fed into the grid. This view is of the construction site from the bridge over the River Talisker. The wood framed building on the right will be the turbine house. The zig-zag line of the penstock can be seen on the hillside, coming down from the abstraction point above the waterfall.
