A 50 kW micro hydro-electric scheme is being installed on the Huisgill Burn above Talisker Farm. It will produce enough electricity to power around 40 houses, most of which will be fed into the grid. This view is looking down over the trench in which the penstock will be buried to the site where the tiny turbine house (the wood framed building on the left) is being constructed.
