Looking along Back Guildford Street with the former drill hall of the 9th Battalion King’s Liverpool Regiment, A-E & G Companies on the right. The brick building seems to be the hall itself whilst the tin roofed area beyond was originally built on cast iron pillars. The central space between all the buildings provided an open drill yard. The headquarters building and officers' mess was #57-61 Everton Road over to the right.
