The lamppost is one of three on Castle Street with attached artwork. This one has an old photo of a train at Stockport Edgeley station. Reverse design: Image The post also carries an "Alcohol Restricted Area" notice. The street used to be the main thoroughfare through Edgeley before the building of Mercian Way as a bypass. Behind the Shaw Heath roundabout is the Stockport Armoury Image
