This row of 18th century cottages have roofs of Collyweston slate. The right hand one has recently been repaired, showing how the work is normally done. The cottages are grade II listed and the English Heritage listing is here: http://list.english-heritage.org.uk/resultsingle.aspx?uid=1243261
