The aircraft is used to track and treat oil spillages at sea and is operated by a consortium of the world's main oil producers. The aircraft was carrying out circuit training at Cardiff Airport on this occasion. In a previous life it was assigned as a transport aircraft in the US Air Force but now, at the ripe old age of 55 years, is carrying out the important work of clearing up the mess that the demands of 21st century living sometimes creates.
