Ringwood Hall at Brimington was built for the owners of the Staveley Coal and Iron Works the great industrialist brothers, George and Richard Barrow. Ownership changed hands after the death of the brothers and the Markham family became the residents there. The ha-ha was probably built when the main hall was built in 1820.
