During the time Snape Maltings were served by rail the wagons entered and left the complex through the arch shown here. Because steam locomotives were prohibited within the Maltings, the wagons were shunted at first by horses and latterly by a Fordson tractor. The station master's house was situated opposite the Maltings - see Image
