The buildings here are described in the Grade II Listing as 22 main street and shop adjoining to south. Although 17th century, the 1629 date is a mid 20th century addition. Interestingly the OS map shows 3 dwellings but with only 2 gardens and appears to number them 22, 24 and 26. The heritage centre address is given as 24 but only the vaguest evidence suggests a further door may have existed for access to a number 26 however the listing refers to "2 shop openings, each with a doorway and shuttered window". The wooden door (with no apparent lock or handle) when viewed in the Google 2009 street view is a window and the rendering extends to the down pipe where a boundary fence existed.
