Some of the shine has faded from these window features, which may have been here quite some time. It is difficult to read but perhaps the first one should read 'Cabinets'? If so, there are records of a William Henry Howard who was a cabinet-maker and upholsterer in the town. One of his many premises mentioned is in the High Street, but sadly the references dated 15 March, 1838, are the county courts insolvency logs.
