Number 153 High Street

The white building is number 153, which is joined to listed building number 154 by an archway. Through this archway runs Cross Keys Passage which affords access to Silver Hill and Tanner Street. As part of the Silver Hill redevelopment scheme, number 153 is due to be demolished and replaced by a building half its width but slightly taller. The purpose is to widen Cross Keys Passage so that it is a more attractive access into the new Silver Hill retail development. At time of photographing number 153 was occupied by Oxfam.
