Looking west from Jutland Street bridge is Ducie Wharf where the Ashton Canal ends by turning right under Ducie Street into the Rochdale Canal. The towpath here under the shelter of the highrise apartments are home to a number of Manchester's rough sleepers and their canine companions. Beyond the car parks on the left is Piccadilly Station.
