By the Trent and Mersey Canal, this is part of Oliver's Flint Mill in Newport Lane, with its calcining bottle ovens. The three ovens here (Grade II listed) have not been fired since about 1964. (Two are enclosed in the adjacent brick walls). The site now produces milled ceramic materials for the pottery industry. http://www.thepotteries.org/potworks_wk/110.htm
