Romford railway station, Greater London

Opened in 1844 by the Eastern Counties Railway on the line from London to Shenfield, this station replaced an earlier one some 500m behind the camera position. View north east towards Gidea Park and Shenfield. The original station here was a wooden island platform - it has been rebuilt several times since then.
