A plaque http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4157518 shows that this building formerly housed a fustian cloth warehouse, workshops and office. The original use of the word fustian was for a napped fabric of a mixture of linen and cotton or wool. Fustian is now also used for any coarse twilled cotton fabric with a short nap. Aus-Bore House was substantially extended in 1980, and refurbished in 2002. It now contains modern office suites with accommodation.
