Annabel J is a British vessel whose hull was the first complete one to be constructed in Falmouth Docks since 1930. The owner became disenchanted by standard modern yachts and so their intention was to create a unique, striking ship inspired by the old pilot cutters of the Bristol Channel. Designed to meet incoming vessels in the British Channel, the pilot cutters had to be fast, easily handled, efficient and seaworthy, as only the fastest cutters would secure trade.
