Sapiston sign takes the form of a sheep hurdle, reflecting that the parish was at the centre of the wool industry when the River Blackbourne was still navigable. The date on the post suggests it was erected in 1993 and stands on a grassy triangle at a three-way junction. https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/6779695
