Viewed from Brackla Street bridge. The Vale of Glamorgan line diverges on the right from the South Wales main line. Both routes lead to Cardiff. Passenger trains on the main line route take about 20 minutes to reach the next station, Cardiff Central. Passenger trains on the much slower Vale of Glamorgan route take about an hour to reach Cardiff Central. There are stops at Llantwit Major, Rhoose Cardiff International Airport railway station, Barry, Barry Docks and several other stations.
