This used to be the farmhouse of Gazebo Farm. The farm has long since ceased to exist and the farmhouse now houses temporary Council offices. At first glance it would seem to be a modern building but in fact part of it dates from the time when this was the Communal site of RAF Rackheath during WW2, when it was the Tailors, Barbers and Shoemakers shop (building 193). The original building has since been modified, encased in brick and converted into a considerably extended private dwelling house.
