A frustrating bridleway

This being nominally a good track between two farms, I was hoping for a good bike ride across the field. But, they'd just combined the wheat, leaving a substantial ridge of straw every 10 yards or so, which meant the bike needed to be carried the whole way - the alternative was that the entire transmission gummed up with the stuff.
