The estate was set up after WWI by Surrey County Council to provide smallholdings for returning servicemen. It still operates as smallholdings. This one is signed 'Downlands Project'. The Downlands Project is part of Surrey County Council’s Countryside Partnership Team. This farm looks like a base for grazing stock to be deployed on local downland.
