No 8 Armstrong cottages. Tuckernuck. These were built at the turn of the 19th into the 20th century by Lord Armstrong. He bought Bamburgh castle with the intention of renovating it to become a convalescent home. That never actually happened but the estate cottages built for the workers are still here. They are similar in style to Cape Cod designs and that is why they have names like Tuckernuck or Nantucket, http://www.northumbria-byways.com/viewitem.aspx?id=388
