The country lane runs from the B2116 in the south to the A272 to the north and throughout its length is a boundary between the parishes of Shermanbury and Cowfold to the west and Twineham and Bolney to the east, The houses in view are Wickhams and Brook View which are located on the Twineham side of the line with the junction with Gratten Lane in the foreground, a former lane heading east to Twineham Lane which is now a bridleway. All the area between Henfield and the A23 is currently under threat of a proposed private development to build a new garden town the size of Burgess Hill.
