A closed up Royal Mail postbox at the Stoneleigh showground. One of many dotted around the site which, in the days before email and mobiles during the heyday of the showground as a home for the Royal Show in the 1960s, must have had a lot of mail passing through but now look rather forlorn. This one is developing a patina of lichen and cobwebs ( Image] ). There is one box at the main entrance which is still in use.
