Cattle Market Road (the A6011) crossing the Nottingham and Beeston Canal is seen here from London Road. The canal towpath through Nottingham city centre is also the route of Nottingham's Big Track, a ten-mile circular cycle route and footpath that follows the canal from Nottingham railway station to the Beeston locks, returning via the Trent's 'riverside' path.
