The village sign depicts a tax collector going about his business. According to the village website this is because a tax collector called Boda is mentioned in the Domesday Book. http://www.bodhamvillage.co.uk/villagesign.htm This sign was erected in October 2011 to replace the earlier one (in position since 1977) which had become rotten.
