There is no access onto the northbound carriageway from this road, but despite several warning signs, plenty of vehicles manage to get as far as the no entry signs. The road originally continued in a straight line to end up at this point http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4117700 . The modern A1 can be seen in the background.
