Murals on the Blaengarw Road side of the building, viewed from the corner of Marian Street. Blaengarw Workmen's Hall opened in March 1894, paid for by the weekly contributions of local miners. The building originally had a library & reading room, cinema & theatre. It soon became the main focus for community activities, sporting events and meetings. The hall is now a community facility.
