Looking across the Duchess Bridge across the River Aln

The Duchess Bridge, built in 1864, crosses the River Aln to the west of Alnmouth. The bridge is quite narrow and the white steel footbridge was added on the upstream side in 1971 to allow pedestrians a less risky crossing of the river. The bridge is grade II listed.
