Built in 1760, this building in Bridge Street once housed the Ship Bank, the first bank in Aberystwyth and possibly in Wales, serving the maritime community. It ceased to be a bank when the North and South Wales Bank, which had taken over the original bank's successors in 1836, moved out in 1870. Grade II listed - see http://historicwales.gov.uk/files/pdf-listed-building.php?ids=12569&lang=ENG.
