A view of the mens' 10,000 metres from the upper tier of the stand, section Q. This is an early lap of the race with the competitors still grouped together. Already the eventual winners are within the first 6 or 7 runners - Moses Kipsiro of Uganda won Gold, Josphat kipkoech Bett of Kenya Silver, Cameron Levins of Canada Bronze. We had booked tickets for this session hoping to see England's Mo Farah win the 10,000 metres, but unfortunately he had withdrawn a few weeks earlier as he was not fit after an illness. We enjoyed the evening and the race anyway - the finish was close with the 3 leading runners sprinting from the end of the final bend that you see here, to the finish 100 metres to the right.
