The English flag hangs from 2 flagpoles, along with the Canadian flag, during the medal ceremony for the Men's Pole Vault at the Commonwealth Games 2014 in Hampden Park. The event was won by Steve Lewis of Stoke on Trent (5.55 metres), the Silver medal went to Luke Cutts of Sheffield (also 5.55 metres, but with more failures at the height) and the Bronze medal went to Shawnacy Barber of Canada (5.45 metres) The athletes on the track are members of teams for the women's 4x100m relay, awaiting the start of their heat.
