Challenger Lodge (c1830) has been incorporated into the redevelopment (for the hospice) of the St. Columba's Hospice site on Boswall Road. The square area in front of the lodge has been remodelled into a formal garden of flagstone paths, beds and water features enclosed on the other three sides by new hospice buildings and covered walkways.
