This gateway, on Highfield Lane and adjacent to Rose Cottage, provides access to a Defra Conservation Walk. It provides access under conservation schemes "...which help farmers and land managers to protect and improve the countryside, its wildlife and history." It is a permissive path that links up various pre-existing public footpaths.
