Wilstead Industrial Estate dominates this square and there is very little of anything pleasing on the eye except for the odd plant which is in the foreground of the picture. The estate is an adaption of an ordnance factory opened after the start of WW2. This is the reason for the many separated buildings and earthworks visible on the maps of the area.
