Looking west from Camden Road station

The station was opened as 'Camden Town' by the North London Railway on 8th December 1870. It was renamed 'Camden Road' on 25th September 1950 to avoid confusion with the London Underground Northern line Camden Town which had opened in 1907. Confusingly therefore between 1907 and 1950, there were two stations called 'Camden Town'. All trains serving the station are now operated by London Overground, as well as frequent freight trains passing through. This view is from the westbound platform looking in the direction of Willesden station. The platforms seen here on either side of the line are not in use as the limit for passengers to board is where I am standing.
