Situated on the A145 London Road, this building dates from the GPO era and was replaced by another TE a short distance away sometime during the 1970s http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4062026 refers. Both the old and new TEs took the name Brampton until the (01502) numbering range was introduced.
