A double lay-by on either side of the narrow Knatts Valley Road here is a useful place to stop. After the junction with Botsom Lane, there is a surprisingly long stretch southwards along Knatts Valley Road before a house is reached. The steep wooded slope up to West Kingsdown is seen to the right.
