This double lay-by on either side of the narrow Knatts Valley Road is a useful place to stop. After the junction with Botsom Lane, there is a surprisingly long stretch southwards along Knatts Valley Road before a house is reached. That is the one seen here with the steep wooded slope up to West Kingsdown seen behind.
