Duartmore lies about 5kms north of Kylestrome and about 15 kms south of Scourie on the edge of the Westminster Estates and Duartbeg ground. The only house, this one, was built just after the war as a forester's house when this area from here down to the sea and back towards Kylestrome was put under trees. Today those same saplings are now mature trees and logging has begun.
