Storrs was ordained in 1857. He served as a missionary in India until 1871 when he became Curate of Masham. After that he held incumbencies in Heckmondwike and Bradford before coming to the island. He died on Tuesday 18 March 1919 (The Rev. W. T. Storrs, The Times (London, England), Thursday, Mar 20, 1919; pg. 12; Issue 42053). His four sons were all Anglican priests, two serving in India as he had done.
