Old Water Tower on Castle Hill

This is a remnant of Kington's first public water supply undertaking. Houses in the lower part of the town had access to water from shallow wells by the river, but up here on the hill more complicated engineering was needed. A full history is on the wall plaque which Ms Blenkinsopp is studying.
