When photographed in July 2012 this public house was still open, although the owners, the Greene King Brewery, had it up for sale. Originally it was a Morlands (of Abingdon) house but in 1999 they were taken over by Greene King of Bury St. Edmunds. By March 2013 the brewers had closed the pub and in October of that year full planning consent was granted for change of use to five residential units. Subsequently an offer was received so it appears this is another pub which has bitten the dust. Image Image
